Q: How do I dispute a charge that appears on my credit or debit card?
If you see a charge you do not recognize or believe is incorrect, take action as soon as possible. In many cases, contacting the merchant first resolves the issue faster. If the charge is not resolved, Mountain America offers several ways to submit a dispute.
Before you file a dispute
• Contact the merchant listed on the transaction.
• Ask for a correction or refund.
• Keep any emails or receipts related to the issue. If the merchant cannot resolve the issue or the charge appears to be unauthorized, file a dispute with Mountain America.
