Member Advocacy

Make your voice heard
Credit union advocacy helps make our voice more active in the communities we serve.

Stand up for choice

As a member of Mountain America Credit Union, you enjoy many unique benefits. Because they don't need to focus on profits for stockholders, credit unions can focus their energy on improving service and directing funds back to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings dividends and technological improvements. Unfortunately, some banks and for-profit institutions in the financial industry are fighting to take these benefits away. They don't want you to choose a financial institution that is truly different.

Let your voice be heard

As members of the credit union, each of us owns a piece of the organization (your initial deposit bought you a share). This means it’s up to all of us to defend the qualities that make credit unions like Mountain America special. You can voice your support for Mountain America, and all credit unions, by becoming an advocate. As a member advocate for Mountain America, you’ll be able to:

  • Serve as a voice for members of your credit union.
  • Promote positive change in the community, state and financial industry.
  • Engage political leaders at the state and federal level.
  • Be part of a true grassroots effort.
