Nephi was a beloved member of the Cherry Hill Elementary community in Orem. He was known for his kindness, generosity and ability to make kids smile. From singing made-up songs on nacho day to showing up early to clear snow so students could walk safely, Nephi quietly went above and beyond every single day.After Nephi passed away just before Thanksgiving, his community came together in a meaningful way. Together with the FOX 13 Dream Team, Mountain America surprised Nephi’s family with a special show of support.
“We were deeply moved by Nephi’s story and the impact he had on this community,” said Melissa Van Dam, branch manager at Mountain America. “We wanted his family to know how much he mattered.”
The family received cozy gifts, holiday surprises and a $1,500 gift—along with an important reminder that Nephi’s legacy lives on.
