Q: What overdraft services options are available through the credit union?

We provide several options to ensure checking and debit card transactions are covered in the event of nonsufficient funds.

Standard Overdraft Privilege allows checks, automatic withdrawals and transactions made using your checking account number (ACH) to clear your account. You are automatically enrolled in this service at account opening, unless otherwise specified. Eligibility requirements apply. The overdraft fee is $25 with a maximum of five per day.

Overdraft Privilege Opt-In for debit card transactions authorizes the credit union to cover debit card transactions when your available account balance is insufficient for your purchase. Opt in by visiting a branch, calling our service center or following the steps in digital banking (navigate to Accounts > Overdraft Privilege). The overdraft fee is $25 with a maximum of five per day.

Opting out of all Overdraft Privileges means transactions with insufficient funds may be denied. However, unpaid item fees may still apply.

Additional Protection

If you would like further protection, we recommend setting up a linked account.

Linked Account Protection automatically moves money from a linked savings share or credit line to pay for overdrafts. Sign up at a branch or call our service center at 1-800-748-4302. Interest charges may apply if the service is linked to a credit line.
