Q: What is the difference between a credit card, a debit card, and an ATM card?

A credit card charge will always be processed directly from your Visa line of credit, and will require signature authorization at the merchant location.

A debit card transaction will be processed from your checking account, and it may be authorized either by a signature or by your Personal Identification Number (PIN).

An ATM card can be used to access an account from an ATM only and will not be accepted for retail transactions.
