Q: Under what circumstances might my card be declined?

A card transaction may be declined for many reasons. Some of the most common reasons include:

  • Nonsufficient funds
  • The card may have been reported lost or stolen
  • Visa may have blocked your card if a transaction appears to be fraudulent (e.g., using the card in a foreign country without informing us first)
  • A technical issue may have arisen
