MyInvest is being discontinued

After an extensive review, Mountain America will be discontinuing the MyInvest℠ service on March 31, 2024. This decision was made in order to focus our efforts on products and services that benefit our full membership. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause.

How to close your MyInvest account

  1. Log in to MyInvest via online banking or the app.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Click the Close Account button at the bottom of the settings page.
  4. Follow the prompts.

Why is Mountain America discontinuing MyInvest?

We periodically review our products and services to ensure they meet the needs of our membership. Although some members utilized the benefits of MyInvest, it wasn't used broadly enough to continue support for the full membership.

How long do I have to close my account?

Your MyInvest account will automatically be closed on March 31, 2024, and the funds transferred to your Mountain America account.

Can I close my account before March 31?

Yes, you may close your MyInvest account at any time.

When will I receive the liquidated funds?

It may take up to 30 days after closure for the funds to be liquidated. Funds will be moved to the Mountain America account you designated for automated transfers.

Will this closure affect my taxes?

Possibly, please consult your tax advisor for a better understanding of the tax implications.

Did financial stability factor into this decision?

No, the discontinuation of MyInvest is in no way connected to the performance of the credit union. The product simply wasn't used broadly by the membership. To view Mountain America's overall financial performance, members can access the last several years of annual reports online.

What other investment options does Mountain America provide?

The credit union provides certificate accounts for short- and medium-term goals. Mountain America Investment Services, one of our subsidiaries, offers more diverse investing options for long-term goals. We recommend meeting with a wealth advisor to discuss your financial plans.
