What do I need to bring in order to open a checking account?

If you are opening a new account, you will need to bring in:

  • Valid government-issued picture identification
  • Social Security Number or other Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • $5 membership deposit
  • Have ChexSystems and credit pulled.
    • A ChexSystems report will only be pulled if a checking share exists, or will be created on the account.
  • $100 is the recommended opening balance for a checking share.
  • If you have an existing account, you will need to bring in valid, government-issued picture identification.
