Mountain America Miracle Makers: Christmas Surprise

One-year-old Parker Balland has already survived more than most people will in a lifetime. She suffered a stroke in utero due to a blood clot and has had 13 surgeries—this little girl is a warrior!
 
Parents Casey and Brianna work hard for both their girls and would do anything for them. But keeping up with a rigid schedule of doctor’s appointments, including 7 therapy sessions per week, takes its toll. Parker, her sister, Oaklie and their parents could definitely use a break.
 
That’s why Parker’s Grandma Carrie nominated this special family for a visit from the Miracle Makers. The surprise began with a warm greeting from Santa and two Disney princesses. Then, they were presented with a box containing something very special—a trip to Disneyland for the whole family!
 
Although the future will undoubtedly hold more challenges for the Balland family, it also will surely be filled with plenty of love, shared time together and a little Disney magic!
