Q: How do overdraft services work?

Overdraft services may allow ACH transactions, bill payments and checks—as well as debit card transactions (when opted in)—to clear your account even if it causes a negative balance. This protects you when you don't have sufficient funds in your account to cover a transaction.

Mountain America will charge a $25 fee each time Standard Overdraft Privilege or Overdraft Privilege Opt-In for debit card transactions is utilized. As a courtesy, overdraft fees are limited to five per day.
