History Of Mountain America
Mountain America's roots began in the mid 1930's as the credit union for Utah Telephone workers. The assets of this not-for-profit credit union have grown tremendously over the years. Mountain America has become the credit union of state and local government employees and some of Utah's leading corporations including:

- AT&T
- QWest
- Novell
Mountain America's philosophy of offering easy access to great products as a cooperative institution allows members to enjoy traditionally higher dividends on savings and lower rates on loans.

Members have easy access to their accounts and control their funds in a variety of ways: ATMs, online home banking, automatic deposit, Touch-Tone TellerSM, automatic payment options, and access through a large branch network.
These reasons explain how we adopt the "people helping people" philosophy of credit unions. When making decisions, we put members' needs first. It's just the way we do business.
